DESCRIPTION:  Wichita State University is located in the heart of the Midwest in the largest city in the state of Kansas. Our beautiful 330-acre campus is situated on the crest of a hill with a view of downtown Wichita, 5 miles to the southwest. At Wichita State, applied learning is a big part of what we do. In fact, every degree we offer has opportunities for an applied learning or research experience. WSU has a long tradition of innovation and entrepreneurship that spurs the economy and serves the needs of the local community.

Currently, Wichita State University features five competitive gaming teams: Overwatch, League of Legends, Valorant, SMASH and Rocket League. Esports as an industry has arrived. Wichita State has taken the first step in recognizing this fact through a competitive program. As the landscape of higher education continues to change, Wichita State is at the forefront of programming and development utilizing Esports as another avenue to impact students.
