Derek Tyler | Social Media Marketing Manager

Derek is currently serving as the Social Media Marketing Manager for the Electronic Gaming Federation. Prior to working at EGF, Derek earned his bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies from Chapman University in Orange, California, while also competing in Division 3 Track and Field. Derek has worked as an intern for multiple sports marketing firms in his last few years of college and has a passion for any and all sports. 

From a young age, Derek has been a fanatic of eSports. Growing up, playing mostly sports video games, he took a liking to large scale RPGs and MMOs once his older brother showed him the ropes. An avid consumer of games like Skyrim or ARK, Derek also fancies a few rounds of LoL or Overwatch when he can get a large enough group together.
