Stuart Goldfarb serves as general counsel and chief operating officer of the Electronic Gaming Federation. An accomplished business and legal professional for more than 20 years, Stuart has represented prominent clients in sports, media, and entertainment with global law firms Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, and Dorsey & Whitney LLP. He continues to practice as counsel with a New York-based boutique law firm focused on those verticals.

Stuart has traditionally served as outside general counsel to his clients, and, in doing so, has developed expertise in launching and operating leagues and teams in traditional sports, particularly domestic and international soccer. He has represented regulatory bodies, leagues and teams across several sports – both in the United States and internationally – including European leagues and teams connected with their business activities in the United States. He also has represented buyers and sellers of teams, and the technology, marketing, sponsorship, media rights, events, and other businesses engaged in the sports and media marketplace. Stuart advises clients on all aspects of business, from corporate acquisitions/dispositions, governance and restructuring, to intellectual property, employment, and litigation.

Stuart lives in Summit, New Jersey with his wife, Marci, and their two sons, Dylan and Drew, who are avid hockey, soccer, and video game players. Much of his free time includes watching his sons on the ice and the pitch – and being laughed at by them when he attempts to play Fortnite or NBK2K.
